50 schools,
one set of results
Burlington has 50 public and Catholic schools with EQAO results: 28 elementary and 5 high schools in the Halton District School Board, and 14 elementary and 3 high schools in the Halton Catholic District School Board. Below are every school’s 2025–26 results, straight from EQAO.

What EQAO
can and can’t tell you
EQAO tests every Ontario student in Grades 3 and 6 in reading, writing and math, in Grade 9 in math, and in Grade 10 on the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test. Each figure below is the share of students who met or exceeded the provincial standard.
Small schools swing. When only 20 or 30 students write, a few students move the result a lot. That is why each figure shows last year’s result and the number of students alongside it.
It measures one day’s tests. It says nothing about arts, sports, special education support, French Immersion or how a school feels. Visit, and talk to parents in the neighbourhood.
The school isn’t the address. A school near a house may not be the school that serves it. Check the catchment before you buy (see below).

Check the school
for the exact address
Each board has its own address search. The Halton District School Board’s Find Local School shows both the English and the French Immersion home school for an address. The Halton Catholic board’s School Finder shows the home school and its boundary map.
Boundaries change. The Catholic board says its boundaries are subject to change each year, and the public board runs boundary reviews in parts of the region. If a particular school matters to you, check before you firm up an offer, and don’t rely on the listing description.

Burlington schools FAQ
What does an EQAO result mean?
For Grades 3 and 6 it is the percentage of students who met or exceeded the provincial standard in reading, writing and math. For Grade 9 it is the same for math. For the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test it is the percentage of first-time eligible students who were successful.
Which Burlington high schools offer IB or AP?
For 2026–27, the Halton District School Board lists Burlington Central High School for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, Dr. Frank J. Hayden Secondary School for Advanced Placement, and Aldershot School and Nelson High School for AP Prep and Advanced Placement.
How do I find out which school serves a house?
Enter the address in the board’s own tool: the Halton District School Board’s Find Local School, which shows both the English and French Immersion home school, or the Halton Catholic District School Board’s School Finder. Do this before you firm up an offer, not from the listing description.
Are Halton schools above the Ontario average?
Board-wide, yes on every EQAO measure in 2025–26. For example, Grade 6 math was 64% at the Halton District School Board and 59% at the Halton Catholic board, against 52% across Ontario. Individual schools vary above and below their board.
Do school boundaries change?
Yes. The Halton Catholic board says its boundaries are subject to change each year, and the public board runs boundary reviews in parts of the region. Check the board’s planning pages for any review affecting the area you are looking at.
